Dr. Andy asks, you answer:
Veterinarians and veterinary teams go above and beyond for their clients each and every day. However, sometimes pet owner requests go slightly above the call of duty into some seriously illegal, insane and outlandish territory.
We asked you (on the @DrAndyRoark Instagram) to tell us the most outrageous thing a veterinary client has ever asked you to do. The results were… interesting.
1.) “I had a female client lift up her shirt and ask if a skin lesion was ringworm. She wasn’t wearing a bra.”
2.) “Pierce a dog’s ear so he could have bling.”
3.) “Asked me to take his fractious cat out of the carrier so he could video tape it and put it on YouTube.”
4.) “Asked us to check her OWN fecal for parasites. 😳😷💩🙅”
5.) “Scan her for a microchip she believed had been implanted by the government while she was anesthetized for a surgical procedure.”
If you have a story about an outrageous request from a veterinary client, feel free to leave it in the comments! Keep an eye on the Dr. Andy Roark Facebook and Instagram where we’ll be looking for more of your input.
