Giving too many options hurts people’s ability to make decisions
Thinking out loud can sound like you’re listing options, so be cautious if you tend to do that
Try to limit the options to your top 2 or 3 recommendations. Don’t overwhelm their ability to make a decision
When you have the ability to give options, using phrases like “based on what you’ve told me, here are the two or three best options I recommend”
