Happy holidays everyone! As the year wraps up, I thought I’d share with you the things I’ve made this year that have been popular, meaningful to me, or both. Here goes!
The Path To Greatness – I’m excited about AI… and I also have concerns. Ken Niedziela, my wonderful editor at Today’s Veterinary Business, said this is his favorite thing I’ve ever written. Ken is retiring in April, and I’m going to miss working with him. Believe me when I say he’s a good egg.
[Video] Should You Still Have Torb On Your Shelf? – I feel fortunate anytime I get to work with my good friend, the original Anesthesia Nerd, Tasha McNerney, CVT, CVPP, VTS (Anesthesia & Analgesia). This episode of the Cone of Shame podcast went completely viral.
I Was Lied to and I’m Not Doing Very Well – The biggest thing that happened to me this year had nothing to do with veterinary medicine. It was all about making peace with my oldest daughter preparing to move out.
Keeping Lives Afloat – How can we tell pet owners what they must do for their pets when we keep raising prices?
I’m Sweating Over Here! – A note for anyone who wonders why they agree to do things that kind of suck. I’m adding this one because I think it’s a good reminder for everyone who is feeling holiday fatigue.
So those are my five tiny, day-late presents for you. Thank you for reading, liking, sharing, and even writing back to me this year. The most important thing to me is feeling like I’m helping my colleagues out in practice, and I’ll continue to try my best to do that in 2026. I hope to see you there!
Happy Holidays,
Andy
