ABOUT OUR GUEST

Today’s guest is Dr. Matthew Silvius, managing veterinarian and partner at Eagle Animal Hospital, a four-location practice in Kansas City that’s part of NVA General Practice’s 900+ neighborhood veterinary clinics across the country.
Dr. Silvius began his career as a kennel assistant at the very practice he now helps lead, helping grow it to four locations with a team of more than 15 veterinarians. Along the way, he has served as president of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association and now sits on NVA General Practice’s Chief Medical Officer’s Advisory Council. He’s also the official veterinarian for KC Wolf, the Kansas City Chiefs’ mascot.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Silvius and his wife, Dr. Margaret Silvius, also a veterinarian, are busy with their two children and three pets: Hubert, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; Sunny, a domestic shorthair; and Patty, a British Shorthair. When he’s not working, he enjoys outdoor projects and spending time watching his kids play sports
